In a nutshell... Do not purchasing the book, "Killing the Caveman", unless you understand exactly what it is, why it was written, and what is is trying to achieve.
While it does contain basic routines for beginner and intermediate, the FGP workouts are a very advanced technique and should only be performed by an individual very experienced in progressive resistance training methods and interested in trying new methods for improvement. While FGP training techniques are used by intermediate trainees, to professional bodybuilders, it all comes down to the same question... Is advanced FGP training right for you? That is something for each individual to decide.
"I didn't build a better mousetrap. I simply made the existing one work more efficiently. Had I known the book would be so popular, I probably would have paid more attention to the typos. It is designed for the individual who has already reached a certain level of development and is interested in trying out new and alternative techniques.
That said, it is important to understand that you do not need this book to get into better shape. The book was not written with sales in mind, but primarily to offer something I wished was around while I was searching. Fitness is virtually free and everyone will need to experiment a bit, in order to find out what works for their unique physiology."
